Harry Anscombe

Harry has been a national figure in British broadcasting for the last 10 years. Having cut his teeth as Assistant Producer to Chief BBC Correspondent Kate Adie, he became Producer of ITV News and went onto become the youngest ever staff Presenter of Channel 4 News.

As well as presenting the live show, Harry produced corporate and political investigations from around the world. He managed the programme’s Europe coverage during the recent global recession and was based at Downing Street during the 2010 UK General Election, being one of the first journalists to interview David Cameron after becoming Prime Minister. Harry also reported from across Africa, carrying out investigations on the struggle of those living in drought-stricken Senegal and on the plight of child soldiers in war torn Uganda. Channel 4 News won several awards during Harry’s time on the show including a BAFTA and Royal Television Award.

Harry now manages New Century’s global political and corporate communications strategy, building and implementing international media campaigns. He is currently contributing to Party and Presidential campaigns in Europe, Africa and the Caribbean and providing strategic media counsel to several global business leaders and independent institutes.

Harry also manages New Century’s advanced media training and has developed a tactic called ‘Experience Positioning’: working with clients to create positive experiences which meaningfully engage their target audiences. Whether it’s a national television interview or a speech to a crowd of voters, Experience Positioning is designed to help the speaker affect behavioural not just perceptual change.

I have known and worked with Harry for the past four years. Above anything else he is a highly skilled journalist. He is a self starter, who never needs a second bidding. He is both a wordsmith and a talented producer. The abiding sense of him that I carry with me is his integrity. I would trust him with my life. I cannot speak more highly of him.
